Terms of service
Last updated: [date]. These terms are between you and [Company legal name], [registered address], [country] (“we”).
The service
ScanDesk reads documents you upload and returns text, tables, chart data, summaries, answers and translations. Results are produced by AI and can contain mistakes. Check important figures before relying on them.
Accounts
You must give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. The service is intended for business use.
Plans, credits and payment
Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled and are billed in advance through our payment provider. Each plan includes a number of page credits per month; unused monthly credits do not roll over. Extra page packs do not expire while your account is open. Prices exclude sales tax, VAT or similar taxes, which are added where they apply. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires.
Free trial
New accounts receive a free trial with a limited number of credits. We may end or change the trial offer at any time.
Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you upload and to the results. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service. You must have the right to upload each document.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful content, try to break or overload the service, resell it without our agreement, or use it to process data you are not allowed to process.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [country], and the courts of [country] have jurisdiction, without removing any protection your local consumer law gives you. Questions: [support email].
